Our club was started in May of 2003 with a PT Cruiser show. 13 PT’s made our initial expectations to be true. PT Cruiser owners like to be around other PT Cruiser owners. Since then we have grown to a membership of about 100, locally. Our Syracuse club is also a member of the Chrysler Owners Group based in Connecticut. We have a monthly meeting at a local restaurant. Communications are kept up by email and USPS mail. We do not have a membership fee for our local club. We think we have more fun if we don’t require our members to anticipate in any activity that does not fit their personal schedule.
Our club is part of the initial organizing of the Chrysler Owners Group, as newly formed all-Chrysler club to promote and co-ordinate cars shows, cruise nights and other events aimed mainly at 1980 and newer Chrysler product owners.
Memorial Day weekend of 2009 we hosted our 6th annual car show. The Chrysler Spring Cruise-In will be held at the Holiday inn on Electronics Parkway in Liverpool, NY. The show drew a record 108 entries from 8 US States and 2 Canadian Providences. The show includes a banquet, awards, door prizes and many raffles. The proceeds were donated to Humane Association of Central New York
This coming summer, we will cruise to Niagara Falls, Canada, Carlisle, PA, Lewiston, Watkins Glen, Old Forge, Binghamton, Mopar Madness Show at Long Branch Park in Liverpool, Wildwood, NJ, Mystic, CT, Salem, MA and Clarion, PA.
We also hosted week night cruises to Pete’s Polar Parlor in Fairmount, Sweet Inspirations ice cream shop in Fulton, NY and the new Quaker Steak and Lube near Baldwinsville and any other place that our members want to go to.
